2020 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Each year the Theatre Council of Tasmania (TCT) presents its Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual member of our community in recognition of their significant achievements and contributions to Tasmanian theatre.
This prestigious award can only be received once and is awarded to a living person who has:
contributed significantly to the theatrical performing arts in Tasmania over a long period;
contributed in a manner that exhibits generosity of spirit; and
had a lasting impact on individuals and the sector.
TCT has previously recognised John Unicomb, Michael Edgar, William Dowd, Noreen Le Mottee, Charles Parkinson and Marcus Bower through this award. We’re now seeking nominations for a suitable person to receive the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award.
To nominate someone, you must be a TCT individual member or the official representative of a TCT member organisation. The person you nominate does not need to be a TCT member. Nominations must be submitted using the online form on this page and should address each of the criteria listed above.
Nominations close on Friday 6 December 2019.
While a person may be nominated by more than one TCT member/organisation, determination of the award recipient is not related to the number of nominations received. The TCT Board will consider all submissions and base its decision on the extent to which each nominee meets the award criteria.
If you previously nominated someone for the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award, you do not need submit their name again this year unless you wish to provide updated information to support their nomination. The Board will consider your previous submission as part of the current process.
